How to Help

How can you help?

Servants Anonymous Society depends on our community partners to support the ASK Centre for Learning. SAS does not receive any government funding for the Centre, and all our support comes from private donors, corporations, foundations, services clubs and churches, and from our two annual fundraisers.
Your support would help fund the following:

The Basics

$10,000 each year

The three basic requirements of life are food, clothing and shelter. The young women coming to Servants Anonymous Society lack these basic items. Your sponsorship donation provides a furnished private room with linens, clothing that is warm and appropriate, and proper nutrition geared toward healing the body. This program is a holistic approach to self-sufficiency through proactive means.
Changing Patterns

$5000 each year

Once the decision to change is made, the often daunting question is,
“Where do I start?”
Changing Patterns is an ongoing program that incorporates life skills, problem solving, coping with challenges, academics, stress management, goal setting, relapse prevention, employment readiness, and finding the potential to believe that it is possible to change. Your sponsorship makes it possible for a young woman to find the courage to believe in herself.
Independence

$2000 for 1 participant

Having spent a year with SAS Surrey, the young women are often ready to take the first steps in becoming totally self-sufficient through independent living. Your contribution helps ease this transition period by providing groceries, bus pass, furniture, and moving expenses during the first 3 months of this challenging period.
Bus Pass Program

$73 per month per participant

A requirement of being in the residential program is to attend the
ASK Centre for Learning everyday, Monday through Friday. For the first 30 days, bus tickets are provided on a daily basis. After the 30 day period, and showing the commitment to working on life skills and education, the participant is provided with a monthly bus pass. The annual cost of bus passes is $21,000.00 for all our participants.
